Re: Digital vs. Physical Releases of Music

I am a huge fan of owning physical copies of my music (i've been away from the forum for too long lately, on right now because I'm busy ripping CDs). I have bought a couple mp3s in my life, but the number is in the low double digits I'd imagine (a few were that way because no physical album has been...

Re: Q: who gets paid more per gig: SA, Everclear, or Hanson?

A: Hanson, per this, http://twentytwowords.com/see-how-much-it-costs-to-hire-your-favorite-band-or-your-least-favorite-for-that-matter/. I definitely have to question this one, this might be a "asking" price for festival type shows, and possibly an occasional first avenue show, but there's no way m...

If they decide to recycle freak accident for the next album I know a lot of people who would be happy!

Re: Two Cow Garage

Saw Two Cow Garage in SF on Monday night at a tiny little club that is called the Night Light but I think of as the Filmore Jr. Small but enthusiastic crowd but what struck me most is the absolutely incredible amount of energy and passion that they played with. Really reminded me of how I used to f...

Re: Questions you would like to ask David Pirner

1. Ask about the new album extensively... label, release date, when they wrote the new material etc. 2. What bands has he been listening to lately (always interesting to hear this) 3. Where does he see the band going in the future (post next album etc) 4. Will they ever release the cover compilation...

Re: No Fun Intended Cover Album

I think the song "shankin" street puts a whole new meaning in it... Not one I want to walk down!

Re: No Fun Intended Cover Album

I'm so happy to see SA releasing new music. I'm not much of a fan of MP3s. I think for now I'm going to hold out to see if it's released in a physical form. Glad to see they are doing this though!! I'll probably buy them as they're released on mp3, just because, but if they really want to be punk r...

The mats

I'm sure most of you have seen this, but just in case: http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/blogs/211296491.html . All I can say is HOLY SHIT!!! Who plans on making these, and which ones. I'm debating going to chicago or Denver, but not 100% sure if i'll be going. I really don't like big festiva...

New SA material coming soon?

Just figured I'd share this... Michael bland had previously posted that the band might play some new songs on the LP tour, and later commented with: "we got quite a few new songs in the can, actually. plus, we have a bunch of covers we recorded over the last year or so. we're planning on dropping a ...

Re: The LP tour!!

I'd rather see them play songs off the other albums. They play almost half of GDU at normal shows already anyway. But I understand this is the big hit album and it will sell more tickets this way. Sadly, they're playing a few hours away from me, and I don't even know if I'll bother going... I suppo...
