Re: Which Soul Asylum albums are available on vinyl?
We should start a campaign to get Silver Lining released on LP. If it's true that Dave has one, then plates must have been made up, so it's not expensive for them....and given that vinyl is making a huge comeback of late. A nice dark blue vinyl would fit with the colour scheme for the album too.....

Re: The Holy Trinity - Who is best?
Husker Du had some nice acoustic songs on Candy Apple Grey - like Hardly Getting Over It Husker Du had some acoustic stuff in the way SA had Stranger and Never Really Been in the middle of an album: Never Talking To You Again off Zen Arcade, Too Far Down and the aforementioned Hardly Getting Over I...

Re: The Holy Trinity - Who is best?
Hey, it might have irritated Dave back in the day I remember the first interview I read with SA in Sounds in the UK in early 1988, and they were asking Dave about Husker Du and he didn't seem best pleased that SA were being "lumped in". My first SA gig in Newcastle in May 88 (I think) - they were p...

The Holy Trinity - Who is best?
In the UK SA initially were never mentioned without reference either or both Husker Du and the Replacements, a fact which irritated Dave I remember. I was wondering what everyone thought of those other bands. I love both Huskers and the Mats, but they aren't comparable to Soul Asylum, as they don't ...

Re: What is your favorite song on The Silver Lining?
I just found Tied to the Tracks on ebay for £3 ($6) so I'm a happy man.
I have the 7"s off Hang Time and a few of the later ones (post GDU) would love the James at 16 thing. Where can I find the bonus tracks or unreleased stuff?
Anyone kind enough to burn me some?

Re: What is your favorite song on The Silver Lining?
Let's start a campaign for Silver Lining on vinyl, blue or black or pink or green. I've seen Horse on blue on eBay a few times but never dipped in. Was it expensive Lucy? I never really collected SA, but have all of their vinyl, bar James at 16, and Tied to The Tracks (seen it but was way too much),...

Re: What is your favorite song on Made To Be Broken?
Hi Phil, nice to be on board! I should have joined ages ago, but never got round to it. yeah I'm definitely a pre Grave Dancers man, though I do really like LYDLS and TLS. I'm in the UK, but lucky for me I picked up on SA early, around the time Clam Dip came out. I bought MTBB, WYWO and SWYW in the ...
