I also play at church, a non-denominational that uses all kinds of music in the services depending on how they may relate to the topic. I've been looking for a way to get an SA song into one of them. Then you might want to check this out: A Prayer for the Lost and Broken . It's a "scripture-song wo...

First off, even though it was released in the autumn of 1992, I know for sure that Runaway Train would make one awesome summer hit. If you ask me, there's not a single circumstance in which that song wouldn't become a hit. Easy Street would be another candidate, since it has that upbeat style to it,...

Which SA song would make the best summer hit?

We all know the songs: those that play on the radio a dozen times every hour for an entire summer and eventually make your ears bleed: "Macarena," "Mambo No. 5," "Dragostea Din Tei"... (Local variations may exist.) Still, there's no doubt that Soul Asylum could release one hell of a summer hit if gi...

Spread the word!

We just got our first off-site link onto Google! (You should find it if you do a search for enterthesoulasylum .) :) If you frequent any other websites, forums, or blogs, it could definitely help to bring in more people if you linked to our site (in an appropriate manner, of course). Help spread the...

Misheard lyrics

Misheard lyrics are always fun! What are some of the lyrics that you've at first misunderstood and then later heard the real words for? Here's some of mine: Keep It Up Real: Though the rain weighs down your wings Misheard: Don't send brainwaves down your wings () Homesick Real: Woe is me, I a...

Actually, thanks to the handy link Phil posted, I believe I've fixed the error.

Now, CSS purists would probably argue that my solution is a "hack," but everything seems to work out and that's what's important. :)

Sorry, then, Miss Fitt, but there's really no way I can fix that. Perhaps if/when I do an overhaul of the site's HTML/CSS that'll be fixed automatically, but seeing as how I don't have access to a Mac, I can't investigate the problem.

Next month's article: suggestions?

I have some ideas for next month's article (i.e. Community Spotlight/In-Depth), but I'd love to hear what you'd like to see before I reveal my plans. Any suggestions?

Shows section for the website

Some of you might remember me talking about a Shows section for the website. As the deadline drew closer, however, I realized that setting this up would be too much work, and that interest probably wouldn't be high enough to warrant it. I'll be adding features to the site as we go along, but a Shows...

I have to say I don't know too much about Soul Asylum's drummers, but I've always gotten a good impression of Sterling, so he gets my vote.
