Re: June 20, 2015 Brooklyn Bowl

But man, I can't believe how little interest there is in this tour. Not much chatter here. Seems like many regulars are skipping the tour, or are not taking advantage of the chance to see multiple gigs in nearby cities. I'm guilty of that and have a ton of excuses. This is a real busy month show wi...

Re: 2015 June 24 - Webster Theater - Hartford, CT

I've never been to Webster where it had two stages... unless the second stage is the Webster Underground.....

Oh, well. I'll shoot for 7.

Re: 2015 June 24 - Webster Theater - Hartford, CT

Ugh; 7 opening bands listed. The End of the World, Runamuk, Paragon Theorem, Arc City Angels, Jared McCloud, End Of War, Entandem I assume a bunch of locals who are required to sell tickets [and get their spot in the set based on the number of tickets sold] Anyone have any idea what time Soul Asylum...

Re: Got questions for the band? - Now's your chance to ask!

Will Freak Accident ever make it to an official cd release? I'd make this question more generic. Will there ever be a release of B-Sides / Demos / Rarities... i think a lot of us here would love the rare songs; but even alternate versions--such as the Bittersweet Demo posted to YouTube--would be aw...

Re: Would love some feedback

I was entertained.

I can definitely hear Soul Asylum influence on the first song; primarily in the guitar sound.

I don't really hear the "Nirvana" influence at all.

I don't have much else to add other than good luck.

Re: Soul Asylum and The Meat Puppets June Tour Dates!!!!!

I don't; consider the Webster Theater small; but its been a while since I've been there. I thought it fit a thousand people or so. Does that still constitute small? It is one of the two "Major" medium-sized music venues in CT. Whoever said "Small and loud" might be thinking of the Webster Undergroun...

Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)

If I opened up them up in lots of tabs; the songs wouldn't play. But, one by one they seem to be playing.

I look forward to hearing full songs. Opening for Catching Fire reminds me of... one of the Clam Dip songs. Chains, I think.

Re: Watch 'Gravity'?!

Back after the Grave Dancer's Union era; before I knew anything about the band; a co-worker of mine made the same comments about them replacing the Grant w/ Sterling.

I miss the Dan songs, though, and I'm bummed I'll never get to see a Dan and Dave acoustic show.

Re: New LP available to order on Pledge music

The Guest List thing sounds appealing, but is a bit vague for my tastes.

For example, would the tour they did w/ Fountains of WAyne count? Technically they weren't the headliners.

Re: mint condition soul asylum digitalized vinyl up for grab

I guess I'm not understanding the purpose either. You said you compared this to mp3s; and I have no doubt a high quality vinyl conversion in a lossless format is going to be better quality than an mp3. However, did you compare your conversion to a CD? CDs have much higher fidelity than an mp3. I wou...
