Bring Soul Asylum to Toronto!!
I believe it's been 13 years since they've been to Toronto. Though Dan was a bit sick, it was a good Dave and Dan show @ the horseshoe tavern. Dave said they'd be back soon... I hope the time will come sooner than later. Apparently they don't have "border issues", so I don't see why not. Somebody somewhere make this happen!!

The closest you might get is Niagara Falls, NY. The Buffalo News says they're coming to the Seneca Casino Sept. 2:

I checked the casino website and it's not posted yet. At $50 a ticket with assigned seating, I'm going to have to pass. When you add the cost of a passport, it's too pricey, plus it's always kind of awkward going to SA shows and having to just SIT there in your seat.
I think maybe the Canadian fans here in the east need to make a plea for a "Highway 401 Mini-Tour"...hit Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. They've had shows in BC a couple of times now in the last few years, but 4500 km is a bit far for a road trip, and I'm being stubborn about not wanting to pay over $100 for a passport that I don't need otherwise.
So who do we send our tour location requests to? (I used to rant to Benny way back when, but I'm not sure who to beg and plead to anymore... )

Re: Bring Soul Asylum to Toronto!!
Thanks Carrie for the info on a possible Sept. 2 show at Seneca.
I've seen them 6 times (almost 7, one cancelled Chicago show) but it's been a long time. YouTube is amazing for old live footage to keep me entertained. The stuff "littletooclean" has is the best I've seen. "Die in Your Arms" @ the palais royale is great to see, and there's sooooo much more. Nothing beats being there live.

Re: Bring Soul Asylum to Toronto!!
Couldn't agree more about the live shows. I've managed to make it to 12 shows over the years (and a few really fun road trips), but only 2 in Canada. I agree that it's about time to get them back to southern Ontario, since I haven't seen them here in almost 20 years. I don't think it's going to happen, mind you, but it would be nice!
