Hahahaha +1 I always wondered what broken down rubber cement had to do with anythinglucy wrote:I always think lover's lament sounds like rubber cement - Dan's (and Dave's) lyrics are quite a bit better than what my mind sometimes hears!
What happened son, you could have been someone
You could have been much more
You could have been much more
A few more:
Voodoo Doll
Real: I'm imprisoned by my passion
Misheard: I'm imprisoned by the fascists
Down On Up To Me
Real: Some folks find more humanity
Some folks find more than sanity
Misheard: Some folks might thought you meant the tea
Some folks might hold that's sacrilege ()
Real: Do it for the last time
Misheard: Food for the last time
Twiddly Dee (Jim, I remain awed by the fact that you managed to decipher this one for the discography)
Real: Ain't worried about the dumb things I've done
Ain't worried about the dumb things to come
Misheard: Ain't worried about the dumplings I've done
Ain't worried about the dumplings to come
Real: Yes, I guess I'm lucky I can live my own way
Misheard: You ask if I'm a monkey; I can live my own way

Thanks (I'll take that as a compliment, even if it wasn't implied) . I'd work on this one for about 5 minutes, go do the lyrics for a different song and finish those, and go back to Twiddly Dee (probably at least 20 times). I worked on this one for a good 3-4 hours (definitely not as long as some on Say What You Will).Homesick wrote:Twiddly Dee (Jim, I remain awed by the fact that you managed to decipher this one for the discography)

Some folks fight for humanity
Some folks fight for their sanity
