Two years before the MTV version of Unplugged happened, the band played this great acoustic set in Minneapolis
with some rare songs played.
Dave and Dan play the first 5 songs and are joined by Karl and Grant for the rest of the show.
It's a special one!

This one I have debated on putting on or not.
I did stabilize it, but sometimes the time code in the left corner goes a little crazy.
It has been added for the rare video from 2001 with some not often songs played.

Over the decades it's always been a favorite of mine talking and meeting SA fans from around the world.
It could be I met you at a show, online, road trips together etc..
That's the extra fun stuff for me. This falls into that category :)

This started as a discussion with a few members on the Soul Asylum fan page on FaceBook.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulasy ... irnerfans/

Fans talking about music, cover songs, SA cover songs, which quickly led to this.
I played guitar on this and recorded it about a year ago and I passed it on to a fellow member here.. CrashingDown (Sara)
who added vocals with Patrick.

What you get is a little cover from a few fans just having some SA fun!

I really like meeting other soul asylum fans, too. I thought I was alone for the longest time, there are none who live anywhere near me. It was a whole lot of fun for me, too, to record this. I'm super shy about my music, but I'm really glad I was able to do this! ^_^

And to anyone who isn't a member of the facebook group, you guys should come on over. It's really a nice bunch of people. :)

Here are a few classics.
This first one is an amazing show to say the least.
You can hear it in the crowd.
I talked about it in my SA fanzine "Closer To The Stars" in the early 90's
which I included here.

one of the nights used for "Welcome To The Minority"
I've tried this on YouTube and it gets blocked.
