I know they always tend to be special with their christmas shows, breaking out old songs etc. I hope there are some oldies that haven't been played in years. I'd love to hear a Freaks, but not sure how well that would translate to the guys doing it 20+ years later. I would love to get a chance to see passing sad daydream, I know they've done that a handful of times in the past 10 years. Stranger would be a treat, but they've done that somewhat recently, so hopefully that's a "given".

I'm hoping for at least a couple new songs thrown in there, and most importantly, I hope the band gets in some good cover songs, and preferably a medley. I always loved their medleys, and I think a christmas medley would be appropriate... I do have a copy of dave and dan playing little drummer boy which is a classic, not sure of any other christmas songs they've done.

The other song I'd love to see them do is one they haven't really done as soul asylum (just a dave solo show where dan showed up at): Artificial Heart... If they could pull that one off in an encore.... it would bring down the place. And of course, if they did this, it would have to be dedicated to Karl... no questions asked!

My dream would be to $hit can the opening act (not just this year but every year); sorry to "The Figgs", nothing personal.

I'd like two sets; 16-18 songs in ech set with a break in between.

It's the 20th anniversary of "Horse"; I'd like to celebrate this. Veil of tears, Spinnin', Easy Street, Gullible's travel would be a must but any song would work... just more of them.

The non- staples...
Passing sad daydream (In my mind; SA'S anthem)
Stranger
P-9
I did my best
Marionette (I think this would be a great opener; move STS towards the end of the set)
Long way home
Eyes of a Child
Black star
Any 3 of the new songs
Any new song on the upcoming cd

Nothing from CFAS

No cover medley's

dreaming...

The Figgs are dynamite. I almost never want to see opening acts, but this show is going to be AWESOME!

When I die I won't own crap, but my kids will have a hell of a music collection to fight over

I have a feeling Tommy will be at this show, I don't think he has other commitments at the moment. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Pete plays or sings on a couple songs with them. Hell, it would be great if all of them come out during the encore for some covers.
