Non Album Tracks

Post by orson1234 »

I wonder if any one can help. I've been looking at my collection and noticed that I have a few studio tracks where I've no idea where they originally came from:

Black Star (1998)
Never Felt Before (2006)
Directions (2006)
Oxygen (Demo) (2006)

I have a vague memory of the Oxygen (Demo) being from Mp3.com (? - old old website used for music promotions). But were the other 3 ever 'released'? Perhaps via their old myspace page maybe (like 'Be On My Side' in 2006)? Also, were there any others, was a demo of Freak Accident ever available?

I appreciate any info!

If I recall correctly, a rough version of Never Felt Before was first aired on a Minneapolis (?) radio show around late 1999/early 2000. A different version ended up on Golden Smog's "Another Fine Day" album. I think Directions was also played on a radio show, I think a few years later (2004ish?). I remember the demo version of Oxygen from a website but I can't remember which website. As far as I know, there was no Freak Accident demo or special radio show airing.

Thanks for your response! Good to hear your thoughts on these tracks. I never even thought about radio shows!
