I saw the Spring Standards open for Rhett Miller's solo band. They have the 1980s retro hipster look down, so ordinarily I'd be inclined to not like them, but they are a great, fun, band. Some folks I know are not into them despite having seen them several times (as openers etc), maybe due to the fact there are three songwriters/vocalists who all take turns on the lead. I think it works in their favor rather than against them, but I won't deny that Heather Robb is the anchor of the band. And she is so damn cute.
